Some nostalgia from my short-lived mission-design career.
Back then, I played GTA SA all the time, and one day I got my hands on DYOM (Design Your Own Mission). With a lot of spare time and imagination, the first thing I did with the program was accidentally create a hit mission series called Codename: Zulu. It took the community by storm, earned praise and awards all around, and left people anticipating a follow-up pack from me. Needless to say, I pretty much gave up and left the community after making final fixes to the series that made me so popular - leaving a follow-up project unfinished and abandoned.
Nowadays, I’m nowhere near as critical of myself as I used to be. I’m more understanding and accepting of my weaknesses and I view my works as a means of improvement - not proving myself.
On a whim, I reinstalled San Andreas for some entertainment, and then remembered this trailer vid I hacked together for the mission series using cheap software.
I might do a Let’s Play of this series if anyone is interested. It might be fun to laugh at just how corny the story is to me now, talk about the behind the scenes stuff, or even discover just how horrible I was to other players - to the point that even I may not be able to pass my own missions anymore. It could be a fun thing to watch.
So, is anyone interested? Reply, reblog, or send me an ask if you are.
